East Sussex County Pages, Uckfield Partnership & Battle Business Fair.

The SERTP brochure page for East Sussex, contains detail on: Uckfield created an IT suite in a centre called the Uckfield Upskills project. The Wealden training centre was an outcome of a healthcheck and this has been extended following initial success. The Skills Centre has been setup in partnership with the Rural College for Wealden (ACRES) and an expanding partner list are closely involved. Battle became the first South East town to set up a Business fair to help local business promote itself in 2005. Now in its 4th year the event has become a sustainable exercise within the expanding small and local businesses , that are both in Battle and its locality.

Mayfield

To set up a "Youth Diversionary Project" to be known as the Mayfield Youth Project. Provision of a skateboard park, a hard surface, enclosed heavy duty multi-sports court, marked out for five-a-side football, basketball and net ball, and a youth club with a full time youth worker in post.
