Kingsclere

Kingsclere is a thriving market township set on the edge of the North Hampshire Downs [North Wessex Downs AONB]. It is home to the Park House Racing Stables [Andrew Balding] which is one of the largest training stables in Europe but equally has a large number of small businesses in two business parks and redundant farm buildings as well as retail premises in the centre. 23 miles of footpaths and bridleways provide a lot of countryside recreation and many connect to longer routes. The Wayfarer’s Walk and the Three Downs Riding Trail both pass through the parish. Four pubs and three ‘eateries’ provide refreshments and accommodation for visitors and we offer high quality local shopping. Our large conservation area has much of interest and we have a total of 124 listed buildings in the whole parish.
