Whether towns are seeking a short-term recession-busting fix or ready to develop a long-term vision, it is always worth taking tips from other successful projects.
The Towns-4-Towns Exchange Fund can help towns to develop successful projects, by contributing up to £500 towards the costs of members of community and voluntary organisations visiting and learning from similar projects elsewhere.
Whether a town is interested in learning about an economic initiative which has been successful in another town or about how another area has effectively carried out community-led planning or improved rural services, the Towns-4-Towns Exchange Fund can help part-fund the cost of learning and developing the project, including feasibility, business planning, market testing and pilot work.
On the other hand, if your town has a successful project which you think could be transferable to other towns, you can apply to the Exchange Fund for up to £500 towards the costs of preparing and compiling training materials and mentoring other towns.
Those looking for ideas for possible projects or wishing to identify a town which has already done something similar successfully should visit the AMT best practice which has more than 200 case studies, many of them of award winning projects.
