Newhaven

Home to more than 11,000 residents Newhaven has a stable population with a strong sense of community. A small bustling town, it is situated within the South Downs at the mouth of the River Ouse.
Newhaven has a port and an active fishing fleet based at it's marina with boats visiting from across Europe and with year round ferry crossings to France. Rail links run to Lewes, Brighton and London and the A26 arrives at the industrial heartland of Newhaven.
The main heritage attraction is Newhaven Fort, built in the 1860s to deter invaders. Today it offers a warm welcome to anyone looking a look into England's dramatic wartime past.
